Description

A recent study by Helen Ritchie, when the Valsecchi collection was on loan to the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge, confirms that this clock is one of 3 made in aluminium, possibly with the same cast. One of these is in the Victoria & Albert Museum (inv. CIRC.519-1962) and the other formed part of the John Scott collection, sold through the Fine Art Society in 2014-2015.
